Journey: China, Chengdu

Hi all! I've been return for about 5 days now, but have yet to settle down. This trip sure was an eye-opener, pretty fruitful and memorable. Thank god I get to go overseas with the school even in poly days (other than the usual training trips, and also iDARE!).

Type less, more pictures.

At Singapore airport for our 2AM flight!

First thing we landed, we hopped on our tour coach and immediately head to some traditional place in the rural area, out of the city area Chengdu. Pardon me, I can't really remember the names of the places we visited. Chinese feels so foreign to me, again.

My group mates, awesome BIT pals:

My 50-cents ice cream! Which tasted... LIKE SHIT.

Lunch! Good food every day oh-my-oh. One thing about the dishes in China, they serve a lot of veggies and also food is like SOAKED IN OIL. Yes, that bad. Gross. So everytime after our meal we would drink cups and cups of tea. However, we try not to do so as well, 'cos the public toilets there are insanely gross. I SWEAR. Oh the irony.

Pretty lights in our hotel lobby on the first day:Photobucket
This is also the place where all of us would camp to jew the Wi-fi. WE WERE SO DESPERATE, REAL. Plus only like 1 person would manage to connect through out of the whole lot of us. YES, ONE FREAKING LUCKY PERSON.

Meet my rommies!

After debrief and presentations, we headed back to our hotel. The hotel facilities were... meh. So we decided to stay in. This is what you get when girls bunk togetherer...

Oh, the scariest thing was that, in the vicinity an Earthquake occurred a few days before. (Okay, maybe not that near, but it was in the same area!) And we were like... In staying in the hotel?! But phew, we were only there for a night.

Breakfast buffet for good! But as said earlier... THE OIL. Oh yucks, I actually had to blot the oil off, but other than that it tasted so darn good. (I'm hungry now.)
